Have been rather active in blogging this few days... haha..
Would like to talk about the kids at the childcare... kids are really spoilt by their parents nowadays.. the lady in charge of the centre told me many stories of the kids.. really very different from what the children around my age have experienced in the past.. Let me share a few stories of them...
All of their age ranges from Pri 1 - 6... All of them have hand phones with them( model of the phone are quite up to date)... i wonder how schools allow them to bring their phone to sch?
I was looking after them during play time and was messaging.. one of the pri 3 kid told me this which left me speechless...
Kid: teacher.. why are u still using this phone.. so old already.. mine is N95 leh..
He even took it out and show me.. dun even know how to ans him.. "faint"..
Story 1:
Most of the kids took school bus back to the centre.
One day, it was raining heavily and one girl ran off the bus without an umbrella, the teacher told her parents and u know what the mother replied?
Parent: oh.. my daughter told me she never experience walking under the rain so she wanted to try..
OMG.. is this the ans a parent could give???
Story 2:
This boy was rather stubborn and once he is unhappy abt you, the whole day he wont talk or listen to you..
He lived somewhere near McPherson. One day he wanted to eat bread from tanjong pagar and his father had to drive him all the way there just for one piece of bread.. i think the parents also cant do anything... the kids control the parents instead of the other way round...
Story 3 :
This boy keep refusing to do his work after much urging.. so we wrote down in the communication bk to inform his parent what they have been doing in the centre.
We: refuse to do this work and keep disturbing other kids by talking to them.
His parents wrote a reply in the communication bk
Parent: He told me he read story book.
Since that is what his parents said what can we do... they rather listen to the child than the teachers.. All we can do is inform the parents and if they accuse us that his son assessment book is not complete, we have black and white proof...
Story 4:
One pri 5 girl pulled 2 lower primary boys head and knock each other.. resulting in both boys having a bruise on their forehead.. such a fierce gal.. one teacher told me in the past if she got scolded.. she will sit under the table and cry up to 1 hr and keep saying that she wan to 跳楼。 so dramatic...
